-
Can we cut down our own tree?
We would prefer if you would allow us to cut your tree for you.
But if you cut your own tree, One of our employees must be present to
tag it
and show you where on the tree to cut. Trees may not be "topped"
at our farm.
You may not bring a chainsaw to the farm.
-
Do we have to bring a mask?
YES - If you want to enter the gift shop!
All persons, young and old, entering the gift shop
will need to wear a mask with nose and mouth covered. No cheating
please!!
If you forget your mask, you may go to the gift shop checkout window and
request
a mask - while supplies last!! You will be asked to kindly to wait your
turn
in line as customers may be in line to pay for their trees.
-
Why do we have to wear a mask in the gift
shop?
We would like to protect our customers, employees, and family from Covid
and other
illnesses. We are a small family business that has "at risk" family
members that we love.
We would also like to keep our business open for the entire season. If
we get sick, we
could have to close down. And while you will have come and gone with
your tree, other families
would miss out. If you want us here next year, please help by wearing
your mask. If that is something you
cannot do, our gift shop window will be open for you to pay outside. We
sincerely thank you
for your help and cooperation with this.
-
Do you have restrooms?
We have Porta Potties that we advise you use at your own risk due to
Covid-19.
-
Do you have tall trees?
We are called Tall Timbers. But the name Tall Timbers was chosen for
sentimental reasons. The name
comes from the very tall white pine at the corner of our barn line-
planted by our great, great
grandfather and the line of old Maples in front of our barn, saved by
our grandmother to be a
windscreen for her apple orchard. Each year we do have some tall trees,
but they sell out fast and
they are not the primary focus of our business. (In fact that didn’t
occur to us in 1988 when the
business was named!). The best selection of tall trees can always be
found early in the season.
-
Can we still walk out to the field to find
our tree this year?
Yes! We would prefer that you do! We have found this to be effective in
reducing heavy customer traffic and wait time. We will have a map
available for you to pull up on your cell phone and we will provide
directions and signs in the field. When you have found your tree, wave
down a driver and he will cut down your tree and drive it back to the
barn to be processed!
-
What will your customer capacity be for the
Gift shop?
We plan to keep the customer capacity in the gift shop reasonable. If the
gift shop becomes too busy, we may ask that you wait before coming
inside after space opens up. We will still be open at the window so that
you can pay for your trees and wreaths without waiting to go in the gift
shop.
-
Can we drive our car out to the
field?
Nope! We ask that you park by the barn and walk to the welcome area by
the barn where you will wait
for directions for walking out to the field. Absolutely no customer
vehicles will be allowed in the
tree fields.
-
What date will you be closing for the
season?
Our last day for the season will be Tuesday, December 13th, 2022. We will
be closing at 5:00pm on that day.
